MoD Abbey Wood

Total IT are pleased to announce they have been awarded a 7 year contract, to supply the latest versions of their FM Easy facilities management suite of software applications to the MoD's prestigious Abbey Wood, Bristol based procurement executive.

The contract will see leading edge intranet web-based systems implemented onto the authority's network, allowing over 6,500 users to make a variety of requests from their desks using their intranet. Users at the site, which is responsible for all procurement for the British armed forces, will be able to quickly and efficiently request conference facilities and meeting rooms, request travel arrangements, book visitors onto the site, and log and monitor help desk requests. Previous versions of the travel and facility booking systems have been running at the Abbey Wood site since it's opening in 1996.

Total IT's managing director Paul Bell stated "We are delighted with the award of this contract. It is great to retain such a large and prestigious client and significantly grow our business at such a large site. This award is recognition of the success of the previously supplied and proven packages, and our success on other large FM contracts. This contract on top of contracts awarded earlier this year secures the future of the company for at least the next ten years. Interest from other large organisations could lead to significant growth of our nottingham based workforce in the coming few years."
